Building Communities with Music
Hi, I’m Mary.
My mission is to create opportunities for everyone to participate in a positive, community-building musical experience regardless of age, ability, or skill.
I have 3 projects to make music more accessible while bringing the community together.
1. WHERE MUSIC MEETS SUSTAINABILITY
KW JUNK MUSIC
Kitchener-Waterloo Junk music is a fun, musical activity for the community where we bring sustainability to the forefront.
Together, we create music out of recycled materials and items that would at first glance — seem insignificant.
2. WHERE MUSIC BLENDS WITH CULTURE
EXPLORING CULTURAL DIVERSITY IN KW
This project is an innovative way of engaging cultural communities in music-making. Working in partnership with the KW Multicultural Centre and other collaborators, we would create compositions that reflect their culture and what’s meaningful to them.
3. WHERE COMMUNITY MAKES THE MUSIC
COMMUNITY ALBUM PROJECT
A concept album created by those in the Kitchener-Waterloo. Working closely with individuals from all walks to understand their story and share their talents through music.
